I figure given the number of times we've bragged about this particular dish from JBug's Kitchen, you're rather surprised that I haven't made it before now, right? It is my very favorite dinner for one kinda' dish afterall and how can you go wrong with bacon, pasta, cream and cheese so I'm not gonna' go there again with the description or recipe or even a picture of last nights version. Instead - here's some links to previous efforts.
Carbonara with Twist Using Pancetta With Peas Please
OK, so I'm a lazy lout but hopefully not so much today. It is shaping up to be an absolute beauty after a week of cooler temps and weeping skies. My plans for the day? Well, I was supposed to work this morning but my boss has declared today a JBug holiday, so I think a walk on the beach is in order made easier because I'll just have just one 4 legged kid (Max) to worry about.
Finnigan's off to the beauty parlor to see Chris, who has promised to try and fix the mess made by the nightmare grooming he had two weeks ago at another salon. It took him a whole week to recover from that madhouse. Course wouldn't you be traumatized if you looked like this too? Talk about a bad hair day.
I hope Finnigan comes back looking all spiffy!

If I weren't so worried about the size of my butt I would eat carbonara every day of the week, especially if made with home cured bacon! Poor Finn. Glad you found him a better stylist.

I agree, it is fabulous with home cured bacon. Can't wait to make a new batch when Big Guy gets back here for good.
