Wiser, tired, stressed, sick and from just a moment ago cat bit but I'm back. We've survived all the moving curfuffle, the decision making process on the kitchen and master bathroom remodel in the new to us house in Oregon and resulting reality check between the "want" list and the budget. Now I'm back in Tucson almost settled into our temporarily permanent rental at least for the next month or so.
The fur kids survived all the upheaval and are adjusting well except for the cat, obviously. She's a little turncoat and has decided she's a Daddy's girl. Unfortunately Daddy's off on his annual javalina hunt so the once feral cat who fooled him into thinking she wasn't feral anymore just took a chunk out of my left index finger. Hey, no problem. I'm already on antibiotics anyway so why not.
Unfortunately with Big Guy away and J'Bug at less than one hundred percent recovering from a bug I picked up two days before the movers arrived at our former desert home way back in mid January, there isn't much cooking going on; however, I'm going to use the opportunity to remind you about one of the more popular items on the blog - last year's post for Meatballs - One Recipe, Two Delicious Meals.
Meanwhile, I'll be back in a few days with a whole new repitoire and hopefully a new attitude along with it. Oh and don't worry about the cat. She obviously needs reminding that I'm the one that saved her mangy little soul in the first place.
Just a quick note to say welcome back on line....Don't you just hate it when the reality check and the want list run into each other?

Thanks Becky! I was kind of hoping we'd be a little further along in the renovations before the reality check came along, but no such luck. I adjusted my want list so much it's hardly recognizable. LOL

Welcome back June. Take it easy for a couple of days and get well. We'll be looking for some good cooking when you are ready.

Thanks Nancy. Now the pressure's on...only problem is that we're kind of "camping out" here with limited kitchen items so we'll be following the KISS rule. Ha.

Hey my Sunshine! Glad to have you back - well - almost all of you - darn that cat! Well, gotta love the feral fur friend no matter what! Just wait until you get her to the big O - whoa! Just think - soon - no more Javelina hunting - but there will be other game on the horizon... feel all better soon!

So great to hear from you Lea and I have a feeling you're right. There will be plenty of other game in the freezer very soon and at least I'll be able to recognize it. LOL Elk, venison, wild turkey never mind all the seafood.

Sorry to hear that the list has changed so much, but knowing you, it will still be wonderful.

Thanks Lorraine. Renovating's certainly a process, isn't it.
