We're not into daylight savings in this part of the country so we don't have to remember to forget to put our clocks ahead an hour. In fact, we make hay even when the sun isn't shining. While Sundays for a lot of people involve a little sleeping in and a leisurely coffee enjoyed with the Sunday papers, it isn't necessarily so in our household.
It is just after 7:00 bells as I write this and we've been up since the waning full moon was still in the sky. The animals are fed and walked - yup all of them including Georgie the cat, we've enjoyed our first pot of coffee, and I finished a book I've been trying to read most of the week. More important, the Big Guy's almost finished putting his sausage into casings as he readies them for smoking. As for the boys - well they're having a much deserved nap.
We're almost ready to finish the marmalade we started yesterday with our second harvest of three and a half pounds of kumquats. We're also going to try our first attempt at making mozzarella cheese today and if you think I'm bragging again, you'd likely be right. So what's happening in your neck of the woods. Feeling guilty yet?

You would even make Martha look slothful! I had to change my clocks and I am hating the fact that it is already 10 here. Nice looking sausages Big Guy! Hope to see the cheese make the blog.

He says "thanks". At least he hasn't said anything about my wasting time on the computer.

I'm with Lorraine on the Martha sentiments! We had a girl scout cookie sale booth this morning at a local church and then I took a nap - HA!
Those sausages look delish - to be sure -charcuterie is my favorite and there is a charcuterie revolution happening here in Louisiana - particularly in NOLA! Kudos to the Big Guy!
I think I am ready for another nap just reading what you did this AM... I bet you did tons more!

Unfortunately we petered out somewhat and didn't get to the cheese. Big Guy's doing the Grand Canyon rim to rim in May so he's testing out his pack and getting ready to do a trial run. I did 2 batches of marmalade, he finished his andouille and I'm exhausted. LOL
