Sometimes a little sauce is all it takes to make something ordinary extraordinary. I mean didn't McDonald's make millions with theirs?
Last night's deli beef sandwiches took on a whole different taste with a simple sauce made in mere seconds from sour cream, mayo, onion soup mix and horseradish. It gave the beef an attitude and went very well on the warm ciabatta rolls topped with provolone and sliced tomato. Along with a new favorite soup from Trader Joe's - Tomato and Roasted Red Pepper, dinner was done in a flash and so was the clean up.
Try this onion horseradish sauce on a burger too or maybe on a baked potato instead of butter and sour cream. I think you'll be amazed that something so darn simple can be so good.
Creamy Onion and Horseradish Sauce (an original from JBug’s Kitchen)

2 tablespoons dry onion soup mix
1 tablespoon prepared horseradish
Dash fresh ground black pepper
Combine ingredients together in a small covered container and refrigerate a minimum of 2 hours before using. Leftovers will keep up to 1 week in the refrigerator.
