Points to Ponder

When someone who shall remain nameless makes the pot of coffee the night before, puts the timer on to greet two sleepyheads at 5:00 a.m. but forgets to put the pot under the filter:

  • How much surface area does 12 cups of coffee take up on counters, under cupboards and hiding under the range?
  • Do all kitchen floors run down hill?
  • Please say we're not the only fools to have ever done this. After all misery does love company, right?

See you all tomorrow. I should be finished cleaning up by then.

I have done something similar - not emptied the pot from the day before - and it has been almost full!

yes they do run down hill

I do that on a regular basis hehehehehehe

and isn't is a shame that pups don't like coffee?

Never fear, June, it has happened to us as well. Thankfully not very often. Have a great New Year's Eve and a special day on the 1st. I just know the Big Guy will cook for you on that day.

Roast Beef Sandwiches with Grilled Onions and Gorgonzola This is the second in the leftover roast beef series and we're not tired of it yet, although the Big Guy sliced up the rest of it yesterday for various other purposes and stuck it in the freezer. He kept out enough for these lovely sandwiches, as well as a repeat in the next day or so. Lucky us! He cut the slices so perfectly thin they only have one side, piled them all together and put them inside some soft buns, grilled on the inside. Topped with some of the horseradish sauce that was the star of our Christmas...

Old School Style Pigs n' Blankets We took a day off yesterday and hit a favorite place for breakfast followed by hours cruising the lots looking at some very luxury RV's including a whole bunch of Fifth Wheels. Hey - it's fun spending money you don't have and dreaming about the future, isn't it.
