Yes, it's true people. We went to the Salty Dawg again yesterday but for lunch this time. Hey we love the people ...
and the food is wonderful (Mexi burger on left loaded with jalapenos, and regular cheeseburger on the right)
so when you find a favorite place and they have Black Butte Porter on tap, ya' just have to keep going back. Right?
I got off the hook for dinner too because the Big Guy fashioned these lovely tasty halibut tacos for dinner. Dredged in flour, then an egg wash followed by a dip into bread crumbs and a quick fry, the fish was crispy on the outside and tender moist and flakey on the inside. Topped with a perfectly ripe avocado, some peach and mango salsa, fresh tomatoes and a touch of broccoli slaw it was a lovely beachy dinner.
Course we had to go and finish the day by heading out for some Tillamook Ice Cream, and that after beer, burgers and tacos....you can imagine what the scale's saying this morning. If you're having what my friend Lea would call the "envie", walk a mile in my shoes. OK, so make that 10 miles on the elliptical would ya? It ain't lookin' too pretty.
All this good looking food is making me drool - I would definitely wanna go for a walk on the beach!

Lea - The Big Guy took Max for a run on the beach the other day and now it's all we can do to get Maxer to go for a walk. As soon as the Big Guy picks up the little guy's leash, he's a gonner. LOL

We went back to a favorite restaurant last night. It is so hard to go somewhere else, when I know I'm going to love what I get there.

Love the Dawg too. I go there for lunch so I don't sample the brews, but the food is really good, and the people are so warm and friendly. You are a lucky girl...you got a man who makes fish tacos.

Lorraine - not to brag (ya right), but he's an incredible cook and can barbecue like crazy. He makes jams, jellies and marmalades, does most of the dirty work choppin' in our kitchen, takes most of the pictures on this blog, enjoys the process as much as I do and even cleans up the kitchen every second night (or more). Now saying all of that, unfortunately he does not do laundry, floors or toilets but he does do the ironing every once in a while. Yup I am one lucky potato!

Lucky & deserving potato I'd say :o))

TH does everything around the house (when he is home). I don't have to do a thing except cook. I think I am pretty lucky too. He loves my cooking, and knows I love to do it so he sort of stays out of the way most of the time, but he feeds me lots on those days when work has sucked me dry and even cooking doesn't sound like fun, but I don't think he would care to do any jam making.
