We're here. We've arrived, in fact we're quite settled in. It's very early, though late for people that are used to getting up before dawn to escape the heat. I've had 2 cups of coffee brought to me in bed, Max has already "marked" his spot in the rental if you know what I mean and the Big Guy's out walking him as we speak.
I'm going to keep this first post short and sweet because we've some things to get to this morning - like a walk on the beach, a trip to Newport for groceries and last but not least, an appointment with the Dentist. Yup - I broke a tooth yesterday. Isn't that just a kicker.
Here's the view from where I'm sitting right now. To say it's not conducive to writing is putting it mildly. All I want to do is stare at the mighty Pacific and listen to it's fabulous symphony.
The Big Guy cooked dinner last night. As you can see, the menu is most suitable to a first night after 3 days on the road - a big martini for him and wine for me, KD and sausages. Best of all, the only thing I had to do was find the bottom of my glass which I accomplished twice before the bed rose up to meet me at 7:30. Spoiled or what!
I promise tomorrow's post will be much more in keeping with the usual antics from JBug's Kitchen. Meanwhile, I've only one more thing to say - "Man, but isn't it a great day to be alive!"
What a killer view!!!! You did select a lovely rental! I would nurse those cups of coffee to be sure! Do tell - is it nice and cool - did you pull out the fleece? Hope the cracked tooth was not a painful experience. Enjoy the relaxation!

Lea - it is beautiful and cool 59 degrees and yes, I've several layers of fleece on at the moment. It is wonderful! Tooth - just waiting for Dentist office to open, but it hasn't been aching at all...touch wood.

"Find the bottom of my glass" - it's a hard job, but someone has to do it!.

I'm working on it again Pam, but boxed wine's the best best for quantity. I'll be checking out the good stuff via your site soon. Love that Pully Fussy stuff.

June... It looks gorgeous there! Do have a wonderful & relaxing vacation. Honestly, the Kraft Mac & Cheese with the Kielbasa looks heavenly - Especially for a whole night off from cooking! Glad you got there safely with Big Guy and that Max survived the trip. HUGS, Mary L.

Mary - it is so incredible. We absolutely love it! It's funny how something as pleb as KD and sausage tastes so amazingly delish at the beach and you're right - a night off from cooking was wonderful. We're safe, Max is thriving and the "moisture" is the cheapest face lift going.
