This cook was wined and dined last night as we hit our favorite Vietnamese restaurant for a mess a' Pho and Bun.
We started with an order of pork and shrimp spring rolls and kinda' moved on from there. In fact we were so darn busy eating we were half done before we realized the camera and eyeglasses were still sitting on the table waiting to be used, so by necessity this post is going to be very short. Suffice to say, the food at Miss Saigon is fabulous and that's why we keep going back.
I am curious to know however, what your favorite places are when you go out for a night on the town. Do you have a yen for a specific ethnic dish or are you a regular at your local version of the Salty Dawg? Fill me in, OK? Inquiring mind wants to know.
We are so boring, we just hit whatever is closest!

Lovely looking spring rolls!
We are lucky that we have 2 wonderful cajun seafood restaurants owned by friends within walking distance - literally a tenth of a mile down the bayou - one specalizes in fried - one in boiled - so depends on what we have a craving for! Great sushi is found up the bayou in Larose. No good Chinese - have to go to New Orleans for that... I mostly cook - it is a passion...

Lea - Cajun restaurants within walking distance sound wonderful, as does the sushi. As you know I mostly cook too, but dinner out every once in a while's a real treat!
