Well people, the good news is we're together, we're healthy, we're on vacation and we're in Oregon. The bad news is we're not in Waldport yet.
We stopped to get gas in Sutherlin just before we turned off I-5 to head to the beaches and the Jeep took it's last breath and died. Yup, deader n' a mackerel. So we called AAA, were towed to the Microtel Inn across the freeway and here we sit. We'll call AAA for a re-tow tomorrow morning and be at the Jeep Dealership in Roseburg by the time they open their doors at 7:30. Hopefully the mechanic's in a good mood and the Service Manager takes pity on us. Darn sure wish we hadn't eaten all those cookies. A little bribery might have come in handy.
Anyway you know there are worse places to be than in the Microtel in Sutherlin, Oregon. It's a beautiful warm sunny day - I said warm - temperature's in the mid 70's. There's lots of birds singing, bees buzzing and grass for Max to play in. There's trees outside the window that are green with HUGE leaves and not one spikey thorn to be found.
I'd say we're darn lucky. The only thing is I still haven't figured out how to download pics into my new laptop but you know what? I now have a whole day to figure it out.
Cheers sportsfans. See you at the beach.
Turning a bad day into a good day is a talent! Have fun! Stay safe.

Sarah, we've got tons of lemons in our neck of the woods. Ya' kinda learn to make lemonade whenever you must.

I'm so happy that you made it that far at least! Nothing like a little adventure.
Any suggestions for your archive of recipes that utilize dill? My dill is out of control!

Nothing like a vacation to have an adventure! You get to see and explore places you never thought you would! What fun!

Hi Sophia - dill. I'll work on it for ya, but there is a vegetable dish with a dill cream sauce that is wonderful. I'll get back to you on that though
