As I write this, the little one is sitting on his favorite desk top pillow at the window letting the cool air ruffle his fur. Yesterday he decided to do the shaky dance not once but 4 times which meant the last thing on my mind from 2ish on, was dinner.
Thankfully, I had removed the rest of the pork roast the big guy cooked on Sunday from the freezer and whipped up some barbecue pork burritos to fill the gap. They were sufficient but only just - personally I would have much rather had a huge chunk of cheesecake covered in fruit sauce with a quart chaser of brandy on the side, but it wasn't meant to be.
I sauteed an onion with some jalapeno's until the vegetables were soft, then added slivered pork and about a cup of barbecue sauce. What I should have done was add a quarter cup of red jalapeno jelly but I forgot I had a jar of that wonderful little condiment. It's great to have on hand as it provides an instant pick me up to almost any dish, with a little added sweetness along with the heat. Anyway, garnished with some grated cheese, a little slaw and pickled jalapenos in a flour tortilla - we called it dinner.
Quite honestly I'm wondering if Max's seizures have anything to do with full moon itus but here we are, once again having dodged a bullet. He's recovering just fine - gets over it much faster than we do. As for this weekend; today we'll go out for breakfast followed by our weekly grocery shopping trip, then come home to some chores that were supposed to have been accomplished yesterday. The big guy's building a gate in the side yard and I've the usual 3 foot high pile of ironing to get through - sounds exciting doesn't it? What are you up to?
Poor puppy. It is raining and cold so I am having a reprieve from outside work. Finished painting my guest room with very intense colours - a new challenge for me. The room is almost put back together and looks wonderful. I might sleep there just to try it out.

Sarah - good for you and it sounds like you're having a lot of fun getting your house in order. I'd trade you for the cold and rain. Over 100 here again today. Yuck.

bless his poor little pup heart... and yours, too. Thank goodness for leftovers and quick meals!

Lea - his poor little pup heart is in deep ca-ca right now. I think he loses brain cells every time he has a marathon - anyway, he managed to "christen" the carpet in the bedroom yesterday and today it was the kitchen floor while I was on the elliptical. It could just be that terrier middle finger wave, saying "betcha' can't catch me - neener neener", but I'd prefer to think of it as seizure related. LOL

Four seizures in one day? The poor little guy...and you guys too!
We spent the weekend traveling over 700 miles til all was said and done. Family graduations and then Ohio to see the kids and then on past home today to pick up Sloopy from Molly and Ken's place. I have carseat butt.
