Ah perfect bliss. A day off from the kitchen and believe you me, I was ready. As much as I love to cook, some time away from the stove is always welcome and yesterday the big guy took the liberty of cooking dinner in his outdoor kitchen.
Barbecue season is upon us as the weather heats up in Tucson. Of course we've had a few "blips", but for the most part we're heading into the 90's this week. As you can see we celebrated with a perfectly cooked rib eye steak, mushrooms that the big guy filled with olive oil, balsamic vinegar and a touch of honey and some roasted white corn. He might otta' soaked the corn a tad longer so the husks didn't burn, but hey, we love the way corn gets sweeter and sweeter with the added heat. Dinner was absolutely delicious and I lifted not one lazy finger.
Now we're back to the salt mines today. The Maxer Dawg had us up just before 4:00 am with seizures, but he's been showing the signs for the last several days so it's a relief to have that over with for another month. He's not suffering any at the moment either - stretched out top of the desk in the sunshine, sound asleep. He'll be like that for a while until the drugs wear off then he'll act like he's on speed for the rest of the day, and by tomorrow we'll be back to normal - whatever that is. Hard to believe that we're into the last week of April already - 9 more weeks and we'll be in Oregon. Wonder who's counting?
I wish I had married a grilling man!!! Oh, well - William does other things really well! Luscious looking supper! Poor Maxer - Rita was acting strange yesterday... transitionary moon - only explanation! Sweet Corn on the Grill - Nothing Finer!!!!

That sweet corn has me itching for summer something fierce. I can't wait for corn and tomato season to get here.
Glad to hear Max (and you) have survived another seizure episode. Poor little guy.
I've missed you girl! Sorry I've been absent without leave, but life has been so hectic here lately!

Mags - won't be long for the corn and tomatoes so hang in there. I've missed you too but hey, sometimes life interferes.
