Perfect Shrimp Salad
Yup, I said perfect, the absolute opposite of Sunday's debacle. You see, we had a two pound bag of shrimp left in the freezer that we had to eliminate before we head out of here. A side trip to Waldport and a trip into Ray's brought fresh tarragon and oranges to the party and the result was a roasted shrimp salad that would blow your socks off. It would be a perfect lunch for one of my Mother-in-law's bridge parties, or stuffed into flat bread to feed a hungry crew or as dinner for two if one of the diners...

Oysters and halibut - deep fried of course
After a long busy day, I copped out of kitchen duty and handed the reins over to the big guy for dinner. Boy, did he come up with a feast! A trip to the Oregon Oyster Farm in Newport brought fresh oysters to the party. Oysters in Oregon for the most part are grown at farms and can't be legally collected in the wild, so we purchased the same oysters that we'd have bought in Tucson - only fresher, much fresher of course!
